Our Vacation Medicine team is comprised of highly skilled and experienced professionals, including emergency medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, and trained technicians. All highly competent with IV Infusions and Urgent Care services. This elite team has extensive experience not only in diagnosing and treating acute medical conditions, but also in performing complex procedures, allowing us to deliver comprehensive urgent care services in the unique context of vacation medicine. Louise Barthel APRN , has over 25 years of healthcare experience most of which has been spent in Emergency Room settings or Nurse Leadership
positions .
A graduate of the Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner program at The University of Alabama at Birmingham(UAB), Louise holds dual certification through American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner .
Louise is experienced in the care of patients of all age groups and is very excited to bring her knowledge and expertise to Vacation Medicine.
She is dedicated to excellence and committed to delivering high quality individualized patient care to our clients.
Originally from the Emerald Isle , Louise moved from Ireland to Germany where she first attended nursing school and met her husband Sean, now a retired Army Ranger .
Sean and Louise have made the Emerald Coast their home where they live with their daughter and two sons who both attend college.
Louise also speaks fluent German and Irish .
Aimie Enke, FNP-C, ENP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Emergency Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in emergency and critical care medicine. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and further specialized in emergency medicine with a Post-Master’s Certificate from Vanderbilt University.
Aimie has spent the majority of her career in fast-paced emergency departments, where she has treated a wide range of acute medical conditions, from trauma and critical care to routine urgent care needs. Her extensive experience in the ER setting makes her uniquely qualified to deliver high-quality, rapid-response care to patients in need. She is passionate about bringing her expertise to Vacation Medicine, ensuring that travelers and vacationers receive prompt, expert medical care wherever they are.
Originally from Tybee Island, Georgia, Aimie met and married her husband, Josh, an active-duty U.S. Army officer. Together, they have two children, Mackenzie and Brady, and currently reside in Northwest Florida with their dog, Remi.
Savannah Martin is an NP, originally from St Louis who earned her BSN from Washington University's Barnes-Jewish College of Nursing and has been working in various emergency departments, including stroke centers, STEMI centers, trauma centers, along with smaller community hospitals since graduating. After completing her MSN/FNP in 2022, she became double board-certified through the ANCC and AANP before pursuing a fellowship in Emergency Medicine in central Pennsylvania, working across four different ERs before making the move to northwest Florida. Now, she proudly serves at Emerald Coast ED and is excited to expand her journey with the Vacation Medicine team here as well.
She's passionate about helping others feel their best—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Outside of work, she loves staying active, soaking up the sunshine, cooking/baking, and discovering great new spots for a good bite. She is looking forward to becoming even more involved in her community!
Our dedicated Practice Manager at Vacation Medicine, bringing her passion for health and wellness to the forefront of patient care. A proud graduate of Jacksonville University, Lauren excelled as a Division I volleyball player, showcasing her commitment and teamwork both on and off the court. Known for her exceptional organizational skills and warm demeanor, Lauren ensures that every guest receives top-notch service and support. She also knows everything about our IV Infusions. Her enthusiasm and leadership make her an invaluable asset to the Vacation Medicine team!
